One of my few unhappy experiences happened in the Pig and Whistle. Most diner owners are happy and proud to have their diner photographed. It's the interest in diners that helps keep their nostalgic appeal alive. I ate my meal then asked the owner of he would mind of I took a few photos of the interior of his quite attractive establishment for I was a diner fan. He gruffly told me that the lunch crowd was coming in and he didn't want anybody in the way of business. It was about 10:30 in the morning and except for one guy at the counter, there was no one else in the place. I told him I could see his point and walked out the door.
