Just a Few Feet More
The Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walkathon is a 26.2 mile walk that travels the route of the Boston Marathon. This charity event raises an average of $6 million each year for children battling cancer. I've annually walked the route since 1993, when my late wife Elaine traveled the route in a wheelchair. In 1994 and 2001, I was asked to give the opening remarks at the starting point in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. By the way, my hat has two large feet sticking out of it and reads "Just a Few Feet More".
